Day 21 of 30
Now you have your bead jewelry website online, we’ll look at how you can get people to buy from you. There are four ways I’d like to share with you:
- Get visitors to your website
- Increase the amount of people that buy from you
- Increase the value of the sale
- Sell more to people who have already bought from you
Get visitors to your bead jewelry website
There are many ways to get more visitors to your bead jewelry website and in the following articles we will cover a few strategies you can use.
Remember I talked about the 80/20 principle, where 20% of your efforts will give you 80% of your results. I always recommend that you start with one strategy and find out if that is working before adding a new one to the mix. And don’t be afraid to dump a strategy if you find it isn’t working for you.

Even if you decide not to enter it is worth downloading the application form and running through the list of questions. It’s a great exercise in business planning.

Day 20 of 30
Over the next few articles I’ll be talking about different strategies you can use to get more people to buy from your bead jewelry website. To define which of your marketing strategies are successful, you need to have a systematic approach to test what works.
Before we go on I’d like to introduce the 80/20 principle which in this context means:
80% of your results will come from 20% of your marketing efforts.

Day 19 of 30
Assuming you want to sell your bead jewelry from your own website, you’ll need to have a way for your customers to pay online.
The quickest and easiest way to accept payments is using PayPal. You can create a “buy it now” button and place it underneath the bead jewelry item you want to sell. This is fairly straightforward if you know how to cut and paste HTML code.

Day 17 of 30
Before you can start selling your bead jewelry, you need to know how to take good photographs. Taking good photographs is important because when you are selling online, people can’t touch or feel your bead jewelry until they purchase it. So you need to make sure that your photographs are capturing the beauty of your creations.

Day 16 of 30
I recently ran a Q & A teleseminar and received this question.
How do I price my jewelry so it reflects what I am worth, but so it’s not so high priced that it won’t sell?
So many jewelry artists underprice their jewelry. In fact I was recently talking to Dr Dave of MarketingJewelry.com and at a seminar he ran about 80% of the attendees were underpricing their products.

Day 15 of 30
If the idea of hanging out with a group of nice people while showcasing your jewelry appeals to you, you may want to consider selling your creations through home jewelry parties.
What could be better, a group of highly targeted buyers with no-one else to purchase from except you.
And if you are looking for a guide that will help you to grow your business then consider reading Lorri Ely’s book, “How to Run a Home Based Jewelry Party Business for Fun and Profit”.

Day 14 of 30
Are you a people person? Do you feel comfortable talking to potential clients and actively promoting your handcrafted bead jewelry? Then you may want to consider selling your creations through a jewelry booth.
When you think about setting up a jewelry booth, it is easy to get intimidated by the cost of the show and the thought of not being able to recoup that investment if you don’t make many sales.
To give yourself the best chance of success, you might want to consider purchasing a copy of Rena Klingenberg’s book, The “Ultimate Guide to Your Profitable Jewelry Booth”.
