If you have a great way with people and a knack for explaining difficult concepts in a way that is easy to understand, you may want to consider teaching others how to bead.

Teaching is a great strategy in today’s economic climate because high unemployment rates have more and more people seeking out ways that they can create jewelry themselves for a fraction of the price they would pay for the finished product.

Beading is an appealing hobby for many people as the end results are beautiful but the concept of creating these designs seems relatively easy.

There are a range of different classes you could teach depending on your own skills. For example you could teach beading to children, focus on different beading techniques, or even how to make beads.

To make things easy for yourself – and make higher profits, consider making up a beading kit that clients can purchase from you as well as being taught how to construct the kit.

Here are some more tips for success.

Be patient. You are likely to have students with a range of abilities so being able to cater to the slower and faster learners is a great skill and means ou will have many happy clients.

Create a lesson plan. Having some structure to your class will help you and your clients to keep on track and more likely to have finished pieces by the end of the lesson.
